Whitney Port gets Candid: Scripting on The City and Olivia Palermo -The City snob

Published by realfan at 11:42 am under Entertainment Edit This

Whitney Port, of The City has been popping up - here, there; and everywhere on the talk shows. More recently, Whitney got real on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and filled in a few more blanks to her reality show on MTV; The City.

We have heard Whitney claim The City is not scripted. Yet, it’s in her definition of what scripting is. Whitney claims that production never hands her a script.

When Jimmy Kimmel pinned her down, Port admits the The City producers do ask her to do things on camera, for this show. When asked if they push her to do things that she won’t do, Whitney claimed that she turns down a lot of what The City’s producers want her to do that she won’t. When pressed for examples, Whitney Port had to beg off and would not elaborate about what producers ask her to do, that she turns down.

Let’s get real for a moment Whitney, when your producers are asking you to do things on camera, then you do them; this is considered “scripting”.

Whitney also aired some candid feelings about Olivia Palermo, one of her co-stars on The City. It’s no secret that Palermo is seen as a snob and condescending, by many viewers.

Yet, there she is, Olivia Palermo - right smack in the middle of The City production. I have a feeling that Olivia Palermo was auditioned for the role as mentor to Whitney, before The City began shooting.

Whitney did not really trash Olivia on Jimmy Kimmel Live, but she was candid about how she feels about Palermo’s attitude and the way Whitney is treated by her. This is an issue that is shared by millions of Whitney Port fans. It’s almost as if Olivia is trying to belittle Whitney and steal her thunder, away from the show.

Olivia called into a talk radio show yesterday to tell the audience that she had no hard feelings toward Whitney Port, despite Whitney’s unkind remarks about her.

We will have to wait and see what transpires later in The City, to see where these two women will be standing. Maybe, Olivia Palermo will become what Spencer Pratt is, on “The Hills”?

A few reality shows seem to need someone in the cast to play the role of a villain. The City seems to be that kind of a show and Olivia Palermo seems to fit into this role very comfortably.
